Hunt Valley hosts the 2012 Komen Maryland Race for the Cure With a parade, then walks and runs following the morning warm-up, there will be plenty of activity for the whole family. Join thousands of activisits in Hunt Valley for the 2012 Komen Maryland Race for the Cure and help raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awarness Month and the Race for the Cure is an annual Hunt Valley tradition where as many as 30,000 volunteers show up to race, walk and raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and its efforts. Donate or register at the Susan G. Komen Maryland Race for the Cure website. The race begins Sunday, October 21 at 8 a.m. but race activities begin earlier at 6 a.m.   Several staff members from Greetings & Readings will once again participate in the annual event including Hallmark and Inspirational Gift Buyer Carole Young. Visit Greetings & Readings after the race and look for other unique ways to continue contributing to the cause or helping raise awareness.
