Mother-daughter Girl World Tour to be held at Catonsville High School

Girl World TourMoms and daughters (ages 8-14) are invited to join Rosalind Wiseman, an internationally-recognized author, mom and expert on teens and parenting for a fun-filled evening of mother-daughter bonding at Catonsville High School on Monday, October 18 from 7 to 9 p.m.

In addition to celebrating Rosalind's latest books, the Girl World Tour features an interactive discussion about confidence, friendships, sweat-inducing moments and common mother-daughter challenges. A Q&A session and book signing will follow. Hosted by Dove and Greetings & Readings, the two-hour event is sure to get mothers and daughters talking, laughing and connecting.

Tickets for each mother-daughter pair include admission; Queen Bees & Wannabes (reg. $15); Boys, Girls & Other Hazardous Materials (reg. $17.99); a gift set from Dove; and a Q&A and book signing with the author. $40

One Maryland One BookThe Maryland Center for the Book, a program of the Maryland Humanities Council, has selected Outcasts United: A Refugee Team, an American Town by Warren St. John as the featured title for the third-annual statewide community reading project, One Maryland One Book.

The One Maryland One Book project brings together diverse people in communities across the state through the shared experience of reading the same book and participating in book-centered discussions and other related programs.
