Local author Vincent dePaul Gisriel, Jr. will visit Greetings & Readings on Saturday, February 4, all day from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to share the story of his parents during World War II and to sign copies of Hearts Away, Bombs Away. Following the death of his father (a World War II veteran), Gisriel discovered the true story of this real American war hero. Along the way, he also found a beautiful love story. Culled from family research and hundreds of hand-written letters, Gisriel's Hearts Away, Bombs Away is a story of one man's service in the Army Air Corps and the beautiful love story that flourished, through even the most trying days of war.
