Free, Friday night concerts return to Hunt Valley Towne Centre

The Friday Night Concert Series is back at the Hunt Valley Towne Centre! This year's line up is fantastic with lots of new bands and some returning favorites including Sly 45 and Sons of Pirates! See the full list below along with a collection of clips from previous performances.

Impulse kicks things off on Friday, May 30, and the concert series continues from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Friday, all summer long! Enjoy the outdoor concerts, have a snack, grab a lemonade and pull up a chair courtesy of Greetings & Readings.

New this year, a beer and wine garden will be sponsored by a different Hunt Valley Towne Centre restaurant each week.

May 30: Impulse - A group comprised of seasoned musicians who for many years have performed and played professionally with Baltimore's top bands at the area's finest venues. Impulse's playlist is extremely versatile with songs that everyone will know and enjoy. Instrumentally and vocally Impulse is one of the most entertaining bands in the region.

June 6: The Fugitives - Performing to audiences large and small for more than 20 years, The Fugitives deliver a robust brand of music that spans generations. Visit The Fugitives website.

June 13: Steve Ports Band - A rock/pop band comprised of some of the area's premiere musicians. Playing songs from Steely Dan to Marvin Gaye and everything in between, you'll love groovin' to the sounds of the Steve Ports Band!

June 20: Full Tilt - An eight piece horn band, Full Tilt encapsulates everything musical that is 70s funk and soul. With their powerful sound, Full Tilt engages audiences from the first note to the last with ever increasing showmanship, crowd interaction, and most importantly, flawless musical performance. June 27: Josh and Good Old Stuff - Keeping the music of the 1950s alive, Josh Christina, a young piano player from Baltimore County, has perfected his art of playing rock and roll. Influenced by Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Ray Charles, Josh mixes it up with a blend of rock and roll, country and blues.

July 11: Legend - A band that had its roots in the premiere rock and roll clubs throughout the 60s and 70s, both in Baltimore and New York. The current line-up came together in January, 1970. Legend has opened for the Beach Boys, Bread, B. B. King, Stories and Quicksilver Messenger Service. Reforming in 2012 year, the band is booked at various local venues, pleasing old fans while making new ones. Legend is a group you won't want to miss!

July 18: Appaloosa - Appaloosa was formed in early 1971. Appaloosa stays true to its original vision, to play popular songs with good vocals and strong, instrumental backing, all the while pleasing their audience and creating a party atmosphere wherever they go! Visit the Appaloosa website.

July 25: Time Will Tell - Time Will Tell is an infectious band of seasoned musicians performing familiar songs by classic rock, oldies, pop, and British invasion artists from the 50s to the 90s. Outstanding vocal harmonies are a highlight of the group, and the sharing of lead vocals provides tireless entertainment!

August 1: Sons of Pirates - Audiences from all over the Mid Atlantic have been enjoying the hot summer sounds of Sons of Pirates. Sometimes billed as a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Sons of Pirates is much more, playing the beach music of Buffett, Marley, Zak Brown and splashing in classic hits from Eagles, James Taylor and Barenaked Ladies as well as many more. August 8: The Klassix - The Klassix is known for pleasing crowds with its distinct renditions of popular, danceable, classic top-40 music of all genres and generations. The Klassix is one of the region's premiere variety bands.

August 15: Junkyard Saints - Junkyard Saints is a Washington D.C./Baltimore-based seven-piece band with full horn section, performing its own brand of New Orleans-style party music. Junkyard Saints blends funk, swing, Latin and R&B with a splash of zydeco to round out the mix. Come party with this high energy band! Visit the Junkyard Saints website.

August 22: Sly 45 - Sly 45 is the Mid-Atlantic's living tribute to the swagger, style and freshness of those early days when blues and jazz musicians were still figuring out what to call this new sound. From the blazing guitar licks, the come-to-daddy vocal stylings and the dance-hall rhythms your feet never forget, a night out with Sly 45 is all rock and roll ever promised to be - a little bit more volume and a whole lot more fun. August 29: The Rat Pack - A band that is composed of three of the finest musicians and one of the strongest vocalists in the region, The Rat Pack can only be described as high-energy entertainment. Playing professionally for so many years, this group has a playlist with something for everyone.
