Local fisherman Lee Samson signs his DVD, answers your questions
Seasoned fisherman and host of Fish the Surf, Lee Samson will visit Greetings & Readings one week before Father's Day on Sunday, June 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. to sign copies of his DVD and answer any questions that local fishermen might have.
Lee Samson describes his transition from fisherman to filmmaker:
"My love of fishing, and of the outdoors, has been an essential and fulfilling part of my life. Nature, and especially her waters, brings a sense of wonder, of peace and of adventure no matter in what part of the country, or of the world, I find myself.
In 1972 my immersion into the world of filmmaking began in, of all places, the North Sea coast of Belgium.
"My path in the worlds of commercial, military, industrial and theatrical filmmaking brought entry to new terrains, geographies and the people who inhabit and relate to them. And it brought amazement at the thousand-fold ways in which nature reveals her mysteries.
"Fish The Surf was inspired by two great men, close friends and mentors, and by my wife, Gail, who encouraged the undertaking with full heart. Mike Evans was a natural and instinctive outdoorsman who shared his knowledge effortlessly. Bruno Dreossi introduced me to filmmaking and instructed me to seek excellence - in my craft, in people and in life itself."
Fish The Surf, with host Lee Samson is a comprehensive, 3-hour DVD divided into seven chapters. Filmed in high definition, Fish The Surf captures the beauty and spirit of the shore and of the timeless craft of surf fishing. Order before Lee's appearance and request an autographed, personalized copy from the event at no extra charge. It could be perfect for Father's Day! |
