On Friday and Saturday, September 24 and 25, artist David Sheer will exhibit his captivating artwork for Greetings & Readings shoppers.
A physical therapist of more than 30 years, David has an affinity for finding and correcting imbalances in patients bodies. There is a significant creative sense needed to work with people and on people. A therapist must have left brain knowledge and right brain creativity.
Now, David has taken his creativity to the canvas, seeing it as his next patient. Shapes and colors come to him seeking balance. David's goal is to give the viewer balance and a sense of internal integration. He intends to create a feeling of depth and a connection to a higher plane while maintaining a vibrancy and playfulness with his images.

David has been in the healing arts as a physical therapist for over 30 years. In the last 20 years he developed an expertise as a manual therapist, achieving a Masters and Doctorate degree, specializing in working on patients with musculoskeletal symptoms. David has worked in a large variety of settings, including the Peace Corps where he was a therapist for the Fiji School of Medicine. He has been a dedicated clinician and teacher. He remains an adjunct professor at a local physical therapy school.
As an expression of creativity, David is currently teaching and developing his own courses. He has recently left his private practice to focus more energy on this creative side. Throughout these decades, David has maintained an interest and passion for abstract art. His artwork his been intermittent throughout the years due to his dedication to his profession. Outside of work David also maintains an active interest in leading edge health related pursuits. He is a consistent yoga student. Outside interests also include nutrition, religion, history, politics and psychology.
