Discover the art of local artist April Plummer, all weekend long

Front Row for the Spring Show

Front Row for the Spring Show

All weekend long, July 9 through 11, local artist April Plummer will exhibit her beautiful artwork for Greetings & Readings shoppers.

Said April, "My pieces are a celebration of life's little pleasures, the delights that surround us in nature, the wonder and innocence of childhood and the magic of imagination."

"I try to capture these moments on canvas as an illustration of the simple joys of life which should be reveled by people of all ages, in all stages of life."

Find out more about April and her art at her website and blog, A Well Kept Nest. Then, see it in person, July 9 to 11, only at Greetings & Readings!

The Perfect Day at Sea Pumpkin Patch Serenade

April grew up in Northern Baltimore County. She attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina where she earned her degree in Cultural Anthropology. After working as a florist and wedding coordinator, April returned to school to pursue a Master’s of Education. She taught Middle School Language Arts for several years and left teaching to start a family.

Always a creative person, April began to paint more frequently following the birth of her daughter. Sharing and enjoying the simple pleasures of life that each season has to offer: watching the birds on a snowy day, catching lightning bugs in the summer and enjoying an ice cream cone inspired April to incorporate these themes into her artwork.
