Meet local author and photographer David Simpson at Greetings & Readings on Saturday, February 13 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Simpson graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in Photography. His career as a photographer took him across the nation and around the globe. A few years later, David became drawn to moving images and transitioned into the role of a film director. His accomplished eye for form, light and movement has earned him an exceptional reputation, as well as a number of accolades and awards in the commercial film field.
Now, after decades of creating images on demand, Simpson has re-entered the realm of still photography. His first published offering to celebrate this new beginning as a Fine Art photographer is Loch Raven. " David, who will admit to getting bored very quickly, has never taken Loch Ravens Reservoir for granted even after visiting or driving past it countless times. The author resides in Monkton, Maryland with his wife Jean and their two children.
